Old Anniesland

Old Anniesland is a rugby venue in Glasgow's Anniesland area with multiple playing surfaces for training and matches. The grounds include grass pitches, artificial surfaces, and floodlit areas used by different clubs and sporting organizations.

The grounds were founded in 1883 as the home of Glasgow Academicals rugby club. Glasgow HSFP took over the property in 1919 and has used it for training and competitive play ever since.

This is home to Glasgow Hawks, a club deeply rooted in the local rugby community with passionate supporters who gather here regularly. The matches bring people together and mark the sporting calendar for those who follow the team.

Most pitches are floodlit, allowing training and matches to continue beyond daylight hours. A gym is available for club members, and the facilities are designed to support regular sporting activities.

The grounds host major Scottish cup finals each year, including the Celtic Society Cup in June, which brings together rugby and traditional Scottish sports. These special events make it more than just a training ground for local teams.
