Kingston House consists of a concrete frame structure with a twelve-story tower block connected to three-story wings on both sides.
The construction of Kingston House began in 1965 on a site severely affected by World War II bombings that destroyed many Georgian buildings.
The building represents the post-war modernist architecture movement that transformed British cities during the extensive reconstruction period of the 1960s.
The structure contains 11,416 square meters of floor space and previously housed governmental offices including Hull City Council and Humberside Police.
In 2017, Trade-park Ltd initiated the K2 project to transform the former office building into a mixed development with apartments and a hotel.
