Rodan Systems building, Office building in Pyry, Warsaw, Poland.
Rodan Systems building is a three-story office structure in Pyry with a triangular layout and gray concrete brick facades covered by stainless steel mesh and climbing vines. The building contains two internal staircases and is designed to house multiple work spaces.
Constructed in 1998, the building emerged during Poland's economic and social transformation following the end of communism. It represents the architectural developments of this transformative period in the 1990s.
The small square windows in the facade reference perforated tapes used in early computing, connecting the building's design to its technology-focused purpose.
The building is easily accessible from Pulawska Street and offers ample parking for visitors and staff. A garden area behind the structure provides a quiet retreat away from traffic noise on the nearby busy road.
The climbing vines covering the facade serve more than decoration, helping to naturally cool the building and protect its exterior from weather. This biological insulation was a practical design choice made when the structure was built.
