Romandisea Titanic, Ship replica in Daying County, China
Romandisea Titanic is a ship replica in Daying County, Sichuan Province, standing in a reservoir of the Qijiang River. This fixed vessel includes cabins, theaters, and several observation decks, serving as a hotel and entertainment complex.
Work began in 2014, and the project held a formal keel laying ceremony in 2016, attended by a visiting British politician. Construction continued over several years to reproduce the dimensions of the original.
The vessel incorporates design elements from different passenger classes, including period-specific dining rooms, cabins, and entertainment facilities reflecting early 20th-century maritime travel.
Around 900 staff members operate the complex, managing facilities such as rooms, restaurants, and event spaces. Visitors can explore the ship's interiors, which provide access to multiple levels.
This ship sits far from any ocean in the heart of Sichuan Province, built on land. Its hull rests on concrete supports in an artificial basin used only as a backdrop.
