Marylebone Town Hall, Grade II listed municipal building in City of Westminster, England.
Marylebone Town Hall is a protected civic building in the City of Westminster standing along Marylebone Road. The front displays a two-storey entrance with Corinthian columns and thirteen window bays that lend the structure a formal composition.
The foundation stone was set by the Princess Royal in 1914, but the First World War delayed construction until completion in 1920. Use evolved over the decades and led in 2012 to acquisition by the London Business School, which renovated the building thoroughly.
Registry ceremonies here bring together couples from many backgrounds who exchange vows in rooms named after surrounding neighborhoods. The building continues to serve families marking life milestones, preserving a tradition of public record-keeping that connects generations across a century.
The building offers multiple rooms of varying size suitable for events, holding between eight and one hundred people. Access is from Marylebone Road, and the closest stop is near Baker Street station.
In 2012, London Business School acquired the building and invested £60 million to create the Sammy Ofer Centre, connecting the town hall with its library.
