Man and Boy, Bronze monument at Kings Quay, Brixham, United Kingdom
The life-size bronze sculpture features two fishermen standing behind a large ship wheel on a granite base at the harbor entrance.
Local residents raised 76,000 pounds over eight years to fund the monument, which was unveiled in November 2016 to commemorate maritime heritage.
The sculpture, created by Elisabeth Hadley, draws inspiration from Arthur Briscoe's etching The Wheel and represents the connection between generations of fishermen.
The monument stands at the intersection of Kings Quay and the inner harbor, making it accessible from the main parking areas and town center.
The bronze figures were modeled after local residents, including Peter Stride, connecting the artwork directly to the Brixham fishing community.
