Ceredigion Museum, Local authority museum in Aberystwyth, Wales.
The Ceredigion Museum occupies a restored Edwardian theatre building on Terrace Road, featuring permanent displays about regional heritage and temporary exhibitions.
Founded in 1972 by the Cardiganshire Antiquarian Society, the museum transferred to Ceredigion District Council in 1974 and later to County Council management in 1996.
The museum showcases Welsh furniture collections, historical costumes, and agricultural artifacts that represent the traditions of Ceredigion county through the centuries.
The museum extends its exhibitions to multiple locations including Lampeter Library, Tregaron Kite Centre, and the Harbourmaster's office in New Quay.
The institution holds a collection of taxidermy specimens created by the Hutchings family from the 1870s to 1942, representing local natural history.
