The English Martyrs Church, designed by E. W. Pugin, stands on Prescot Street with a neo-perpendicular Gothic architectural style and detailed stone carvings.
The Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate established the church between 1873 and 1876, following an invitation from Cardinal Nicholas Wiseman to serve local Catholic communities.
The church maintains regular Mass services while supporting various parish groups that strengthen connections among Catholic faithful from different backgrounds and nationalities.
Located at 30 Prescott Street, the church offers Mass on Saturdays at 6:30 PM, Sundays at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM, with additional weekday services.
The presbytery, rebuilt in 1881, received funding from Carthusians in memory of their martyred brothers executed at Tower Hill in 1535.
