Our Lady of the Annunciation Church, Catholic church in King's Lynn, England.
Our Lady of the Annunciation Church is a Catholic temple in King's Lynn built of stone with pointed arches and stained glass windows that filter sunlight into the space. A distinctive bell tower rises above the corner where London Road meets North Everard Street.
The current building dates to 1897 and was designed by architect W. Lunn while incorporating several elements from an earlier 1845 structure. That previous temple had been created by renowned architect Augustus Pugin.
The church houses a replica of the Holy House of Nazareth and serves as a destination for pilgrims from across the region who come to pray and deepen their faith. The interior draws together people of different generations who gather to practice their religious traditions.
The church is accessible to visitors during opening hours and sits at a street corner that is easy to locate. Anyone wishing to explore the spaces should approach respectfully, as it remains an active place of prayer.
Inside the church sits a stained glass window created by William Wailes in the nineteenth century based on a design by Augustus Pugin. This old window ranks among the oldest preserved examples across the entire city.
