The Mad Museum

The MAD Museum is an art museum in Stratford-upon-Avon that displays more than 70 kinetic sculptures and mechanical installations throughout its spaces. Visitors can activate many of the works by pressing buttons and watch as the different components move and operate.

The museum was established in 2012 and was the first venue in the United Kingdom to focus permanently on mechanical art. It brought together works by artists and inventors from across the world to showcase this artistic form.

The collection demonstrates how artists from around the world use machines and movement to create artworks that engage the senses. Visitors can observe how gears, motors, and mechanical systems work together to produce effects that blend engineering with creative vision.
