The Manor House

This residence is a protected building in Kirby Sigston with roughcast exterior walls, stone accents, and a slate roof made from graduated stones. The main front has three sections, and two longer wings with four sections each extend behind the main block.

Built in 1826, this estate served as a country residence in rural North Yorkshire. Several alterations took place during the twentieth century, though the original structure and core features remained intact.

This residence shows typical features of North Yorkshire country houses, with a Doric entrance and tall windows divided into sixteen panes. The proportions follow Georgian design principles, common in rural estates across the region.
