Aldenham Park, Country house in Morville, England
The two-story mansion features an 11-bay frontage constructed of ashlar stone and contains large plate glass windows alongside round-headed traditional ones.
Thomas Acton acquired the manor in 1465 and built a fortified structure, which was later replaced with a contemporary house in the early 1600s.
The estate represents the evolution of English aristocratic residences, with architectural contributions from William Baker, Robert Bakewell, and William Andrews Nesfield.
Located at coordinates 52.5551 latitude and -2.48704 longitude, visitors approach the estate through a lime-lined avenue leading to gates with the Acton crest.
The grandson of General Sir John Acton, who served as Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, established an extensive library at Aldenham Park.
