Cleveland Square, Private garden square in Bayswater, City of Westminster, England
The 1.5-acre square features manicured lawns, gravel paths, and mature trees surrounded by white stucco-fronted Grade II listed houses from the 1850s.
William Frederick Cleveland, a real estate developer, managed the square's construction in the 1850s as part of the expansion of the Paddington Estate.
The garden hosts seasonal social gatherings and community events, continuing a tradition that began with the Strawberry Tea Party of 1962.
Visitors can access the garden through the west gate opposite house number 25 during Saturday morning hours under the supervision of garden manager Annemarie Borg Landau.
The River Westbourne flows beneath the western section of the square, while a commemorative Balloon Bed marks where an anti-aircraft balloon stood during World War II.
