St Paul's bus station, Bus station in Walsall, England
The station features a concrete elliptical roof supported by twelve steel columns, covering three bus islands with eleven designated bus stands beneath glass screens.
St Paul's Bus Station opened in 2000, replacing the previous 1937 terminal that operated from the former Blue Coat School location in central Walsall.
The station structure represents modern British transport architecture with its 80-meter-long canopy design created by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris architects.
Transport for West Midlands manages multiple bus routes operated by National Express West Midlands, Diamond Bus, and other regional transport companies.
The station incorporates roof lights throughout its canopy structure, allowing natural illumination to reach the passenger concourse below the concrete covering.
