Tatilya Eğlence Merkezi, Indoor theme park in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul, Turkey
Tatilya Eğlence Merkezi was an indoor entertainment center with multiple game courses, cinema halls, and various rides including the Alabora and Tatilya Express attractions. The facility brought different types of entertainment under one roof for families seeking activities in a single location.
The center opened on April 20, 1996, inaugurated by President Süleyman Demirel, making it Turkey's first indoor theme park for children. It operated for about a decade before closing in 2006.
The center operated under the slogan 'World of Dreams' and served families from Istanbul who came to play and spend time together in one place. Different areas were regularly used by children and parents exploring the various attractions and games.
The location is no longer accessible as the center closed and all equipment was removed from the site. Visitors interested in its history can still explore the Beylikdüzü area to see where it once stood.
The building's steel structure received recognition from the European Structural Steel Association for its architectural design by architect Oktay Nayman. This recognition highlighted the innovative engineering techniques used in its construction.
