The Ateliers Médicis operates from a temporary structure designed by Encore Heureux agency, featuring spaces for artistic creation and public presentations.
Following the social events of 2005, Radio France journalist Jerome Bouvier initiated this project to establish an international artistic center.
The center runs the annual Création en cours program, supporting over 100 young artists who develop projects in primary schools throughout France.
The venue offers residencies for artists across multiple disciplines, including visual arts, cinema, and dance, without interference in the selection process.
The Kourtrajmé School, established by director Ladj Ly in 2018, provides education in cinema professions within the Ateliers Médicis complex.
