Maison forte de la Mothe d'Hubine

The maison forte de la Mothe d'Hubine is a rectangular two-story medieval building with round towers at the northwest and southeast corners. A projecting turret stands at the southwest corner of the structure.

The building was constructed in the 15th century and divided in 1540 among Philippe d'Hubines' sons. This division created a separate property that later became known as Petite Motte.

The window frames and rounded arch doorway show building techniques typical of medieval Burgundian nobility. These details are characteristic of how private residences looked during that era in this region.

The property stands at the southern end of the hamlet and is accessible via a driveway from departmental road 70. Since it remains a private residence, visitors should view it from outside and respect the private boundaries.

The building maintains a defensive brattice above the main entrance, a feature designed for military protection. A strategic watchtower at the northeast corner once allowed surveillance of the surrounding area.
