Aviation Without Borders, Humanitarian aviation organization in Orly, France.
Aviation Without Borders is a nonprofit organization based at Orly Airport that uses aircraft to transport medical supplies, emergency materials, and people in need to remote or crisis-affected areas. From its base, the organization coordinates evacuations and deliveries to regions that have no reliable transport connections.
The organization was founded in 2003 to respond to the growing need for air transport in crisis zones and remote regions where conventional aid channels were not enough. Over time, it grew from handling single emergencies to providing regular medical and logistical support.
Volunteer pilots and aviation professionals coordinate flights directly with local aid workers to reach places that road or sea transport cannot easily access. Visitors to the site can observe how logistics and humanitarian work are closely tied together at an operational level.
Since this is an active operational base and not a public facility, it is best to contact the organization before planning a visit. Activities depend on ongoing missions and flight schedules, so a spontaneous visit is generally not possible.
The organization sends specially assembled health packs, developed together with International Health Partners, from major European cities to regions facing medical shortages. Each pack is put together to match exactly what the receiving community needs on the ground.
