Miffy Statue in Utrecht, Metal rabbit statue at Nijntje Pleintje, Utrecht, Netherlands.

The Miffy Statue stands at Nijntje Pleintje and shows the rabbit character from children's books as a black bronze sculpture made of geometric shapes. Its simple, clean lines capture the minimalist style of the original design.

Dick Bruna created the character in 1955, and the rabbit became known worldwide through a series of children's books. His son Marc Bruna later designed this bronze interpretation for public display in Utrecht.

The statue embodies Dutch design principles of simplicity and function that you can see throughout the city. It has become a symbol that draws visitors from around the world who recognize the character from storybooks.

The sculpture sits near Utrecht Central Station and is easy to reach from the city center on foot. The square is open to visitors at all times and works well for photos and casual stops.

The work was designed by Marc Bruna, son of the original creator, bringing together two generations of designers in one sculpture. Its geometric simplicity lets visitors of any age immediately grasp the character and its appeal.
