La Petite Couère

La Petite Couère sits across green fields with around 150 farm animals, museums, exhibitions, and a recreated early 1900s village. The grounds feature traditional buildings, old craft workshops, and different rooms showing how people lived in past times.

The site preserves rural heritage from the 1800s through restored buildings and objects showing how people worked and lived back then. This collection documents how farming and crafts developed in the region over time.

Craftspeople demonstrate traditional techniques at different stations, and you can explore old workshops and farming equipment. These live demonstrations give you a sense of how people worked and lived in everyday rural life.

The grounds are large and made for exploring, so wear comfortable shoes and plan for a walk. If you have children or get tired easily, train rides are available to see the place without walking everything.

The place was built to show rural life by mixing real farmyards with recreated houses, blending past and present together. This mix of original and rebuilt makes it hard to tell where history ends and display begins.
