Broga Hill

Broga Hill is a summit in Hulu Langat that rises approximately 400 meters and features three viewing platforms positioned at different elevations along the route. The paths wind through forested sections and grassland areas before reaching the highest point.

This hill has long served as a training ground where climbers prepare for attempting Mount Kinabalu at higher altitudes. The repeated ascents allowed mountaineers to build their skills in a more accessible setting before tackling more demanding peaks.

Local residents gather at the summit during weekends to watch the sunrise, establishing a regular community ritual among nature photography enthusiasts.

Morning visits offer the clearest views and lighter crowds on the trails, making the climb more enjoyable. Sturdy footwear and water are essential, as the ascent takes several hours to complete.

What sets this place apart is its covering of lalang grass rather than dense forest, creating an open landscape at the peak. This grassland environment gives the summit a character quite different from other nearby hills.
