Aspen Restaurant, American restaurant in Macomb Township, US.
Aspen Restaurant is an American restaurant in Macomb Township featuring a ski lodge design with wooden interior elements and ski racks displayed on the walls. A seasonal outdoor patio extends the dining space during warmer months.
The building was originally Gar Wood's Bayview Lodge in Harrison Township before being relocated to Hall Road in 2002. This complex relocation preserved the historic structure in a new location.
The restaurant operates as a scratch kitchen where traditional American dishes like steaks, chops, seafood, and pasta are prepared from scratch. Diners can see the cooking happening openly, which emphasizes the handcrafted approach to classic recipes.
The restaurant is located on Hall Road between Heydenreich and Romeo Plank roads. It opens daily at 11 AM with extended hours until midnight on weekends.
During its 2002 relocation, the entire building was cut into 60 pieces and moved from Lake St. Clair to its current location. This unusual engineering feat was undertaken to preserve and reassemble the historic structure at its new site.
