Timberland Heights
Timberland Heights is a resort built with wooden structures and cabins set in the foothills of the Sierra Madre in San Mateo, Rizal, Philippines. The grounds cover trails for hiking and mountain biking, an outdoor pool, and a restaurant serving local food amid trees and small streams.
The land was originally used for farming and later became a residential area before being developed into a leisure resort. The property grew over time while keeping its rural character and connection to the surrounding landscape.
The name Timberland Heights refers to the wooden construction of the buildings and the elevated position in the foothills. Visitors can try regional dishes made with fresh local ingredients that reflect the food traditions of the surrounding communities.
The resort is best reached by private car or taxi from Metro Manila via Ortigas Avenue Extension toward San Mateo. The dry season from November to May generally offers the most comfortable conditions for outdoor activities, as the elevation keeps the air cooler than in the city.
The resort is regularly used for corporate events and team-building activities, with spaces designed for group meetings alongside the usual leisure facilities. This makes it one of the few mountain properties near Metro Manila that serves both group gatherings and individual travelers at the same time.
