Datuan Yuan Leisure Farm is a restaurant in Arou Village, Shen Keng, combining meals with rest and nature. The property divides into dining areas displaying local artwork and separate tea pavilions, with six stylized structures offering views of surrounding farmland.
Established in 1979 by the Farmers Association and county government, the farm developed under manager Li Guojun into a space blending dining with art displays and tea breaks. This founding shifted the focus from agriculture alone to a community gathering place.
The name reflects its roots as a leisure farm where locals gather for meals and celebrations. Artworks by regional artists are displayed in the dining areas, and visitors notice how the community uses the space for family events and seasonal gatherings.
Open daily from 11 am to 10 pm, the farm provides ample on-site parking for visitors. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends and holidays, as it attracts families and groups.
The farm offers hands-on pottery classes where visitors can work at the wheel to shape their own clay pieces. Regular art events featuring painting and sculpture are held on the grounds, giving this place a cultural character beyond typical dining.
