Aquarion
Aquarion is a four-star hotel located in the center of Zakopane, a mountain town in Tatra County, southern Poland, with 136 rooms across seven floors. The building has a facade designed to echo the local architectural style and includes a restaurant, a spa area, three conference rooms, and both underground and surface parking.
Zakopane grew into a popular resort town during the 19th century, attracting artists, writers, and later winter sports travelers who shaped its identity over generations. Aquarion, built by Eiffage Polska Budownictwo, is one of the more recent large hotels to open in the town as visitor numbers continued to grow.
Zakopane has long been known as a place where highland traditions remain visible in everyday life, from wooden buildings to folk crafts sold at street stalls near the hotel. Guests stepping outside can easily walk to the main Krupówki promenade, where local food and handmade goods reflect the culture of the Tatra mountain community.
The hotel is about a 10-minute walk (roughly 500 meters) from the train station, making it easy to reach without a car. Rooms with mountain views and private balconies are available, and the winter months tend to be the busiest period, so booking in advance is worth considering.
A covered interior corridor connects the hotel directly to the Termy Zakopianskie thermal pools, so guests can walk from their rooms in bathrobes without stepping outside. This kind of direct indoor link between a hotel and a public thermal facility is rare anywhere in Poland.
