Windmills — Brewery. Restaurant. Musi, Brewery and music venue in The Colony, Texas
Windmills is a two-story venue in The Colony that houses a craft brewery, dining space, performance stage, and library section featuring books on art and design. The building is divided into multiple zones that work together to offer different experiences within one establishment.
The concept started in Bangalore, India in 2012 before moving to Texas under the direction of former technology professional Ajay Nagarajan. This expansion brought the original idea to a new market on the other side of the world.
The kitchen blends Indian specialties such as tandoori chicken and curry with American fare, paired with house-brewed beers and live music performances. Visitors experience cooking traditions, craft beverages, and entertainment woven together as part of the daily character of the space.
The establishment sits along Grandscape Boulevard and welcomes visitors throughout the day for food and drinks. Different sections allow guests to move between quieter dining areas and livelier performance zones based on their mood.
The space accommodates around 600 guests spread across multiple rooms, including a second-floor mezzanine featuring a private bar. An outdoor beer garden adds extra capacity and creates varied settings throughout the property.
