Hotel Mirador Acapulco
Hotel Mirador Acapulco is a hotel built on the cliffs of La Quebrada, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It has two open-air restaurants, a saltwater pool carved into the rock, and rooms with balconies or terraces facing the sea.
The hotel grew during the decades when Acapulco became one of Mexico's most visited resort towns and drew guests from around the world. Its simple architecture and cliff setting reflect the building style of early Mexican tourism development.
The name Mirador means viewpoint in Spanish, and the hotel is built around that idea, with open spaces facing the cliffs and the sea. In the evenings, guests and visitors gather on the terraces to watch the cliff divers jump into the narrow channel below.
The hotel sits on steep terrain, so stairs are part of every stay and there are no elevators anywhere on the property. Packing light makes moving around much easier, especially when arriving with luggage.
The saltwater pool sits so close to the edge of the cliffs that waves can splash over the rocks and into the water on rough days. Guests staying at the hotel can watch the famous La Quebrada cliff divers from the property without paying a separate entry fee.
