Metro Jazz, Jazz bar and hotel near Palace of Culture and Science, Warsaw, Poland
Metro Jazz is a hotel with an on-site restaurant in central Warsaw, located close to the Palace of Culture and Science. The building has nine floors, and the interior uses grey tones with bar seating and screens spread around the dining and common areas.
The building went through a full renovation in 2011, when its nine floors were transformed to serve as a hotel and restaurant. Before that, the space had a different use and did not meet the standards expected from a hospitality venue in the city center.
The Metro Jazz takes its name from the music style that defines its character, with live jazz concerts held regularly in the restaurant area. Guests can listen to the performances while dining, without needing to move to a separate venue.
The hotel sits in the heart of Warsaw and can be reached on foot from many of the city's main points of interest. The restaurant opens early in the morning for breakfast and stays open until late in the evening, making it a flexible option throughout the day.
The restaurant's menu changes with the seasons, mixing Italian cooking traditions with local Polish ingredients. This means the dishes on offer in summer can look quite different from those served in winter, making a return visit worth considering.
