Tan Son Nhat Hotel
Tan Son Nhat Hotel is a hotel on Hoang Van Thu street in the Phu Nhuan district of Ho Chi Minh City, a short distance from the international airport of the same name. The building contains rooms of several categories, including suites, along with a restaurant, a swimming pool, a spa, and spaces for events and business meetings.
The hotel opened in 2012 and was awarded five-star status by the national tourism authority the following year. It was built in a district that grew as a transit hub over the decades following the airport's expansion in the post-war period.
The hotel shares its name with the nearby airport, which itself was named after a village that once stood in this part of the city. Vietnamese decorative motifs appear in the common areas, giving the interiors a local character that sets it apart from generic business hotels.
The hotel sits on a main road in Phu Nhuan, making it easy to reach by taxi or ride-hailing services from the city center or the airport. Guests arriving late at night or leaving early in the morning will find the proximity to the terminal particularly useful.
The rooftop of the building includes a helicopter landing pad, something rarely found on hotels in this part of Vietnam. This allows certain guests to arrive or leave directly without passing through the city streets at all.
