The Springs Resort&Spa
The Springs Resort & Spa is a mountain resort next to a river with over 50 hot pools of varying temperatures and sizes, some featuring waterfalls and steam grottos. Modern buildings and facilities blend into the landscape while offering spa services, saunas, and lodging options alongside the pools.
The Ute people first discovered the thermal springs and valued their healing properties for generations. Over time, the area developed into a known wellness destination that today combines this tradition with modern comfort.
The name "Pagosa" comes from the Ute people and means "healing waters". Visitors gather in the warm pools to connect with each other and unwind, while the river and surrounding landscape shape the experience.
Visitors can buy day passes to access 25 or more pools, or stay overnight for round-the-clock access. The pools remain open throughout the day and into the evening, with saunas, massages, and yoga classes available to enhance the experience.
The spring here is the deepest hot spring in the world and the water contains a rare mix of minerals including potassium, zinc, magnesium, lithium, and iron. This natural composition has been valued for hundreds of years for its effects on skin, blood pressure, and muscle strength.
