Les Voutes, Italian restaurant in Aix-les-Bains, France
Les Voutes occupies a converted early 1900s stable building with stone walls and curved vaults that can seat up to 230 guests. The interior displays original architectural features including thick masonry and distinctive arches throughout.
The building started as stables for the Grand Hotel in the 1900s and passed through different owners and names over the decades. In 2018, François Gicquel took over and established the current restaurant under its present name.
The restaurant blends Italian cooking with regional Savoyard dishes, drawing on ingredients and techniques from both culinary worlds. Diners experience a mix of southern European and local flavors in one setting.
The restaurant operates in the evenings from Monday to Tuesday and Thursday to Sunday, and advance reservations are recommended. Contact ahead to confirm availability, particularly on weekends and for larger parties.
A private cellar room seats 20 guests and can be reserved for special occasions and intimate gatherings. The venue regularly hosts DJ sessions and live entertainment beneath the historic vaults.
