Dom Malarek

The Dom Malarek museum displays traditional floral paintings and decorations on walls, ceilings, and everyday objects created by local artists.

The building continues the local tradition from the 19th century when women painted white lime spots on smoke-darkened walls to brighten their homes.

The museum organizes the annual 'Malowana Chata' competition since 1948, bringing together painters from surrounding villages after Corpus Christi celebrations.

Visitors can participate in workshops to learn traditional painting techniques using brushes made from birch twigs and horse or cow hair.

The facility maintains documentation of approximately 40 decorated houses in Zalipie, where floral motifs extend to building exteriors and farm structures.
