The Lake District Coast Aquarium is a marine life center in Maryport with approximately 90 tanks displaying fish and other creatures from British coastal waters. The exhibits focus on animals that live near the Cumbrian and Solway coasts in the surrounding region.
The facility opened in 1997 and grew to accommodate more visitors and educational opportunities. A research center called Sea Lab was added in 2015, expanding the place with new scientific programs.
