New Taipei City Art Museum

The New Taipei City Art Museum in Yingge is a contemporary building featuring silver tubular structures that evoke reeds swaying in wind. The architecture integrates naturally with the surrounding landscape and houses exhibition spaces for modern artwork across multiple levels.

The museum opened in October 2023 as a new art venue in northern Taiwan with an innovative spatial design. Its establishment reflects growing interest in contemporary art and the artistic heritage of the Yingge region.

The museum sits in Yingge, a longstanding hub of pottery craftsmanship where local artisans continue to practice traditional ceramic techniques. Visitors see how local makers blend their heritage skills with contemporary artistic exploration throughout the exhibitions.

The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00, with both permanent and rotating exhibitions across the building. Visitors should plan for a few hours to explore the different gallery spaces at a comfortable pace.
