Perruche, Rooftop garden and Italian restaurant at Printemps Haussmann, Paris, France
Perruche is an Italian restaurant on the ninth floor of Printemps de l'Homme offering rooftop dining experiences above Paris. The space covers 500 square meters with hanging gardens and Mediterranean design elements woven throughout, creating a cohesive visual environment.
The venue was established by Laurent de Gourcuff and Gilles Malafosse, who brought chef Benjamin Masson from the restaurant Monsieur Bleu to lead the kitchen. This partnership brought expertise from Paris's fine dining scene to this new rooftop location.
The interior blends light wood, yellow velvet, and terracotta to evoke a Mediterranean garden feeling that makes the space feel intimate and warm. The hanging gardens and natural light create an environment that feels more like a private retreat than a typical dining room.
The restaurant is open daily with seating areas offering views of iconic city landmarks, so arriving early or booking ahead is worthwhile. Located within the department store below, it benefits from easy access and well-lit, ventilated spaces.
Musicians Greg Boust and Mattias Mimoun perform while guests dine, adding a live-music element to the experience. The menu features surprising preparations like smoked sardine sashimi and fish tacos that blend traditional Italian foundations with more experimental techniques.
