Santa Clara Eco Resort
Santa Clara Eco Resort is a hotel complex on an estate in São Paulo state with five swimming pools, tennis courts, volleyball and soccer fields, and activities like zip lining, climbing, and archery. The grounds spread across expansive forested areas with waterfalls, streams, and valleys that offer space for walks and nature exploration.
The main building on the property dates to the early 20th century and once belonged to the family of Brazilian President Washington Luis. The structure retains its traditional farmhouse style while being renovated with modern comforts to function as a resort.
The name Santa Clara refers to Saint Clare, the patron saint of the region. The estate functions as a gathering place where families spend time together and learn about farm life and rural traditions.
The resort is reachable by flying to Ribeirão Preto followed by roughly a 70 mile (110 km) car drive, or by bus from São Paulo with a short taxi ride from Dourado bus station. Accommodations include 86 rooms with balconies, air conditioning, and bathrooms, with all-inclusive packages covering meals and activities for multiple nights or day visits.
The resort includes a working farm where visitors can participate in activities like feeding cows or working in the vegetable garden. This opportunity gives families and children hands-on experience with farm tasks not typically found at most hotels.
