Evolve Back, Hampi
Evolve Back Hampi is a luxury hotel in Hosapete taluk designed to resemble a palace from the Vijayanagara Empire period. The property spreads across green gardens with large boulders, approximately five kilometers from Hampi's famous ruins, and features rooms ranging from compact quarters to expansive suites with private pools and terraces.
The hotel was created as a tribute to the Vijayanagara Dynasty, the powerful empire that made Hampi the second largest city in India after Beijing. The hotel's medieval architecture draws from that prosperous era when Persian and Portuguese traders traveled through the region and wealthy rulers constructed grand temples.
The hotel's design draws from the Vijayanagara Empire's architectural traditions, with arches, domes, and towers that echo the region's medieval past. Guests moving through the stone pathways and courtyards experience daily how this space honors the local heritage through its built form and layout.
The hotel sits about five kilometers from Hampi's ruins and roughly 16 kilometers from Hosapete railway station, making it straightforward to reach. The nearest airport is Vidyanagar, approximately 30 minutes away by car, and the new Hampi Expressway has made the drive from Bangalore or Hosapete much simpler.
The property features two distinctly designed pools: a large adults' pool overlooking the surrounding rocks and hills, and a smaller family pool for children. The adults' pool draws inspiration from ancient temple tanks called pushkarini, which served religious purposes in earlier times.
