Dream Island
Dream Island is a resort hotel in Sde Yoav, Israel, built on land that was once hot springs and reopened in 2020 after major renovation work. The property features six pools of varying sizes and styles, saunas, steam rooms, and 26 private suites with private entrances and spa facilities including outdoor Jacuzzis and wooden saunas.
The site was originally the location of hot springs called Hamei Yoav that served the area for many years. During renovation in 2020, remains of a Byzantine settlement were found on the grounds, including an ancient wine press now displayed in a small tasting center on the property.
The name reflects how the resort feels like a private retreat cut off from the surrounding area, despite being land-based. It has become a popular spot for Israeli visitors to celebrate special occasions like marriage proposals, turning the grounds into a place where people mark important life moments.
The resort sits about 40 minutes from Modiin and is easily reached from major cities like Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. The property has ample space with free parking, and the entire resort is designed to be fully accessible for people with disabilities and wheelchair users.
During renovation, Byzantine settlement remains including an ancient wine press were discovered and are now visible in a small tasting center visitors can explore. This archaeological layer connects the site's history as a mineral spring to a deeper past that shaped the region.
