Serways, Highway service station in Frechen, Germany
Serways is a roadside stop on the A4 motorway near Frechen, with a restaurant and a convenience store under one roof. The store carries everyday items such as snacks, drinks, travel supplies, and personal care products alongside the food offer.
Serways grew out of the German motorway rest stop network that expanded in the second half of the 20th century. The brand is now part of Tank und Rast, the company that operates most service areas on German motorways.
The stop sits along the A4 and is used daily by truck drivers, commuters, and travelers looking for a break. Food is served at a counter, and the range covers warm meals as well as snacks and drinks to go.
The stop is open around the clock and has separate parking areas for cars, trucks, and buses. Electric vehicle chargers are available on site, and the building is accessible for wheelchair users.
Since 2023 Serways has joined the RECUP and REBOWL reusable container program, where guests receive their food in containers they can return at any other participating location across Germany. This means a container picked up here can be dropped off at a completely different stop along the route.
