Maholova Minds Miura TOKYO BAY
Maholova Minds Miura TOKYO BAY is a resort hotel in Miura, on the coast of Tokyo Bay facing the Pacific Ocean. It is made up of three towers joined under one roof, offering around 260 rooms that range from standard options to Royal Suites with private jacuzzis and open water views.
The hotel opened in 1955, making it one of the older resorts along the Miura Peninsula. Over the following decades it grew into a popular stop for visitors who also wanted to explore nearby historical sites such as Kamakura.
The hotel's name draws from a word evoking the local fishing tradition and the region's deep connection to the sea. In the lobby, guests can watch live taiko drumming and traditional dance performances that reflect the customs of the surrounding area.
The hotel is close to Miura Kaigan Station and offers a free shuttle for guests arriving or leaving. The beach and nearby attractions are easy to reach on foot or with the shuttle, so a car is not necessary.
Behind the hotel stands a small shrine connected to the Mitsumine Shrine, one of the most revered sacred sites in eastern Japan. The hotel also has themed rooms, including one decorated in the style of Alice in Wonderland and another fitted with a jukebox and a disco ball.
