Camping Grubhof
Camping Grubhof is a campsite spread across a wide meadow next to the Saalach River, surrounded by the Berchtesgaden Alps and Loferer Steinberge mountains at 650 meters elevation. The facility includes 235 touring pitches with water connections, three sanitary buildings, and rental cabins.
The site received recognition from Camping.Info between 2017 and 2020 as Europe's premier camping destination for four consecutive years. This distinction marked its rise as a leading facility in the European camping landscape during that period.
The restaurant serves regional dishes from Salzburg and Tyrol using ingredients sourced from nearby farms and local producers in the Pinzgau area. Visitors can taste how local food traditions connect to the surrounding countryside.
The site is easy to navigate on foot and pathways between pitches and facilities are clearly marked. Visitors will find sanitary buildings and common areas easily accessible and should account for the alpine elevation when planning activities.
Each pitch includes a private wellness card granting free access to regional cable cars, swimming pools, and transportation services during summer months. This benefit allows guests to explore the surrounding area without extra costs.
