Round Rock

Round Rock is a commemorative site featuring a historic stone that serves as natural seating behind the baseball field's home plate. The location combines heritage elements with recreational spaces including picnic areas and walking paths along Brushy Creek.

The stone formed naturally over thousands of years and later became the center of a park with war memorials. The 2024 Heritage Trail West project integrated this original site into a new network of pathways.

The park features multiple war memorials, including a World War II torpedo and commemorative plaques that honor local veterans who served their country.

The site has grilling stations, picnic tables, and water fountains distributed throughout the park area. Visitors should explore the pathways along the creek to discover the entire location.

A baseball field was named after Gail Hester, who played on the first Little League team at age twelve. This family connection to the site highlights early participation in youth baseball.
