Vertisol
Hostal Vertisol is a traditional guesthouse in la Vall d'en Bas situated next to the family shop Can Central, with 22 rooms equipped with private bathrooms, TV, and internet access. The building includes a bar, restaurant, and large outdoor terrace overlooking the mountains and valleys, plus ample parking for guests.
The enterprise began in 1940 as a village shop called Can Central, still run by the same family today. In the 1960s the family built the hostal next door, which has maintained the same personal approach to hospitality since its opening.
The hostal takes its name from a soil science term, reflecting how the owners connected their business to the natural surroundings of the valley. This naming choice shows how the place is rooted in the landscape and local understanding of the earth.
The hostal has parking space directly beside the building, making it easy to explore nearby towns and countryside. Rooms feature heating and comfortable beds, with some larger rooms suitable for families or groups visiting the area.
The hostal grew alongside a family shop that has operated since 1940, showing how a business spans generations in one location. This close connection between the shop and accommodation is rare and makes the place a genuine family operation maintained across decades.
