Beach of Pouldu, Coastal beach in Clohars-Carnoët, France.
The Beach of Pouldu stretches along the Breton coastline in three distinct sections: Bellangenêt, Kerou, and Grands Sables. Each section offers golden sand and clear water.
This place was originally a fishing community before transforming into a bathing destination in the mid-1800s. That change later drew artists who were attracted to the coastal landscape.
Artists retreated to this area and left traces of their work in a museum house near the beach. Visitors can see there how the coastal landscape inspired painters in the late 1800s.
The area has swimming sections with lifeguards in warmer months and is suited for surfing. Visitors should plan their visit based on the season and wave conditions to find the best experience.
An anchor from a fishing boat sits on the heights and marks a shipwreck from 1995. Divers still visit the remains of the vessel on the seabed today.
