Marineland Catalunya

Marineland Catalunya is an amusement park and marine zoo covering about 65,000 square meters with water slides, aquatic animal exhibits, and multiple swimming pools arranged across themed zones. The layout guides visitors through different sections, each with its own attractions and facilities.

The park opened in 1970 and became a major entertainment destination along Costa Brava. Over the decades, marine education programs and water attractions were added to expand its appeal to families and visitors.

Daily shows feature dolphins and sea lions displaying their natural behaviors while staff members share information about ocean conservation and marine life protection. These performances bring visitors closer to understanding the importance of protecting these animals.

The facility operates from June through September with restaurants and dedicated children's areas throughout the grounds. Comfortable shoes are recommended as the space is large and involves considerable walking between zones.

Visitors can observe marine creatures through underwater viewing windows for a look below the surface. Notable water rides include the 15-meter Boomerang slide and the 60-meter Tornado tube slide.
