The Vliegtuigsuite is an accommodation on the grounds of Teuge Airport, housed within a 40-meter-long aircraft. The plane has been converted into a luxury bedroom for two guests and offers an unusual view over the airfield.
The aircraft was withdrawn from commercial service and given new purpose as accommodation. This conversion demonstrates an innovative approach to aircraft recycling and sustainable tourism in the Netherlands.
The location near Deventer, Apeldoorn, and Zutphen provides guests access to these Dutch cities, which contain numerous museums, markets, and architectural landmarks.
The room includes flat-screen televisions, an infrared sauna, a hot tub, wireless internet, and air conditioning. A complete breakfast is served directly to guests in the space.
Guests sleep in the aircraft cockpit and can watch planes take off and land from the adjacent Teuge Airport. This creates a rare experience in the midst of active flight operations.
