The Mines Resort & Golf Club, Golf course and resort hotel in Majlis Bandaraya Subang Jaya, Malaysia
The Mines Resort & Golf Club is a golf course and resort hotel in Majlis Bandaraya Subang Jaya, Malaysia, built on former mining land next to a lake. The 18-hole course is divided into two sections called the Crane Nine and the Eagle Nine, and was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.
The golf course was built in 1993 on land that had previously been used for mining, which shaped the landscape of the area. After a year left for the grass to settle, it opened in 1994, with then Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Bin Mohamed inaugurating it as Patron of the Club.
The resort is close to Kuala Lumpur, making it easy to reach for a day trip or a short stay. Golf equipment can be rented on site, and lessons are available for those new to the game.
The 11th hole is known as the Signature Hole and is often pointed out by players as the standout moment of a round. In 2000, the course hosted the Women's World Cup of Golf, drawing top players from around the world to this site.
