Parc animalier Saint-Martin
Parc animalier Saint-Martin is a zoo in the rural area of Montaigu-la-Brisette covering roughly fifteen hectares and mostly forested landscape. The paths wind through natural-looking enclosures where monkeys, wolves, lemurs, dromedaries, farm animals and birds live and roam freely.
The zoo began as a small farm and gradually opened to visitors over time. Its development focused on creating simple, respectful conditions for animals and fostering appreciation for wildlife.
The name Saint-Martin comes from the saint of that name. Visitors experience this place as a straightforward setting where families spend time together and children learn to care for and observe animals in their daily routines.
The park is open daily from mid-February through early November and welcomes families in a relaxed setting. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes as walking the grounds takes time, and can rest at shaded spots and benches throughout the grounds.
Pony rides and animal feeding activities let visitors, especially children, share direct moments with the animals. These hands-on experiences make the visit memorable and touching, going beyond simple observation.
