Le Parc Sauvage

Le Parc Sauvage is a wildlife park set on about 25 hectares of natural forest land where forest animals, farm animals, and birds of prey live in different sections. Pathways lead visitors through various zones designed to show how different species share the landscape.

The park was created to preserve endangered French farm animal breeds and document the agricultural heritage of the region. This collection helps protect traditional farming practices and rural history for future generations.

The park displays old French farm animal breeds like Poitou donkeys, Dexter cattle, and Ouessant sheep that were once common in the countryside. These animals reflect how people and livestock lived and worked together in past times.

The park is accessible by foot along forest trails and visitors should wear comfortable shoes and bring weather protection. The paths vary in difficulty, so it helps to check in advance which routes suit your abilities and available time.

Visitors can watch bird of prey demonstrations where free-flying raptors display their natural hunting skills in flight. These shows provide insight into traditional falconry practices and are performed throughout the day.
