Ogród Zoologiczny Dolina Charlotty w Strzelinku

The Ogród Zoologiczny Dolina Charlotty is a large zoo near the Baltic Sea that displays European bison, macaques, and rare birds in various enclosures. The grounds are divided into multiple sections, including a water safari and butterfly house.

The site was founded in 2006 as a wildlife center in the Pomeranian region and grew into a zoo with multiple display areas. Over the years, new facilities such as the water safari and butterfly house were added.

The zoo is named after the valley and displays both native forest animals and exotic species, helping visitors understand the range between local nature and distant worlds. This mix makes it easy to experience different habitats in one place.

The zoo opens on winter weekends from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and has extended hours during warmer months. Visitors should plan enough time to explore all sections and enclosures.

The Butterfly House displays hundreds of butterflies in a controlled environment, bringing visitors close to rare and colorful species from different continents. This specialized exhibit stands apart from the outdoor enclosures.
